Hey everybody, welcome to the Firestone Files. I am Dr. Chris Firestone. Today on the files, I'm just going to update you on some recent changes here to the files for the next several weeks. This week we're supposed to drop the second part of the dream interpretation series.

Well, as some of you know from social media, I have been on a interview tour here in the Midwest and I spent a whole week with Dr. Nathan Jacobs of the Nathan Jacobs Podcast and we shot three long-form interviews and little did I know throughout that interview process that he was going to invite me to co-publish these with the Nathan Jacobs Podcast if we did it in the next three weeks and it's a real opportunity for dialogue between Eastern Orthodoxy and Evangelicalism. And so we're going to do that. So we're going to take a break from dream interpretation. I've got those five next episodes in the can.

We're going to bring those back in July but running on Tuesday mornings 7:00 a. m. for 3 weeks in a row, the Firestone Files in collaboration with the Nathan Jacobs Podcast will be doing three interviews of Dr. Nathan Jacobs one after the other. The first one will focus on our friendship and his academic journey. I had a part in that early on and we've done a lot of projects together through the years and so we talk about that journey together and some of the successes and difficulties and failures and everything that went into building an academic career from his perspective.

The following week, we're going to be focusing in on his spiritual and aesthetic journey, you might say, his journey into art and into film which was prompted by his spiritual journey. In week three, I challenge him with an with a metaphor that I call the tree of theology, comparing theology with philosophy. I talk about how Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy are like the trunk of the tree of theology.

And then the Reformation and the schism and the Reformation and the various other denominations that have emerged like the branches and blossoms on the tree of theology. And I challenge him to sort of respond to that. He comes up with his own analogy. We have a great discussion on what I'm calling the tree of theology. Just coming up in week three. So, those Tuesdays at 7:00 a. m. we'll be dropping those three collaborative podcasts with the Nathan Jacobs podcast and the Firestone files. We're going to be dropping those. Then we bump up right up to the 4th of July and I will be doing one or two episodes on the 250th anniversary of our great nation.

Um and so, we're going to be doing that. And then right after whatever I do there for the 4th of July, we'll be releasing the five dream interpretation episodes. For those of you who followed the first week and want to see more, it's still coming. We're just going to red shift it about a a month or so. I'll be uh on social media to update you guys as we go along, but I wanted to put something out here on Monday morning as some of you have come to expect from the Firestone files telling you about what we're doing.

That's it for now. I thought I'd give you guys an update and uh do write if you have questions, if you want to see anything that I haven't covered. But for now, we're going to take this three-week red shifting to interview my good friend, former student, former colleague, former partner on a number of projects from film to books to everything in between and we'll pick up the regularly scheduled programming just a little bit later. I hope that's helpful to you. I hope you're having a great week and look forward to seeing you down the road somewhere, but for now we're going to interview Dr. Nathan Jacobs and that's dropping on Tuesday three Tuesdays in a row. Blessings to you. Take care. Bye for now from the Fire Sermon Files.
